Jackson

- There’s a myriad of places in the state capital to shop and dine. Just wind your way to I-55 North for familiar restaurants and local favorites. Exit off County Line Drive and visit North Park Mall with big anchors like J.C. Penney and Belk and lots of specialty stores like the Limited and Williams-Sonoma.

Hattiesburg

- Laurel’s sister city to the south has a bustling western retail corridor (west on Highway 98 off I-59) with Turtle Creek Mall, and the newest center Turtle Creek Crossing anchored by Target and supported by stores like Bed Bath and Beyond, Old Navy and PetSmart. After shopping, check out the dozens of choices in restaurants, from steaks to seafood.

Mississippi Gulf Coast

- In addition to national favorites like Circuit City, Sports Academy and Barnes and Noble Booksellers, take a look at Gulfport Factory Shops where you can find great deals on name brand products, from American Eagle to Van Heusen.
