Available Labor Pool

The twenty-seven counties located within seventy-five miles of the new Howard Technology Park, are home to over 1.1 million Mississippi residents, forty percent of the state's total population. The businesses, industries and institutions within this range employ nearly half a million workers.

The I59 Technology Corridor currently employs many within this civilian work force in technology-based industry. As these types of businesses expand, various educational and vocational institutions, including Jones County Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi, are aggressively developing strong curricula programs aimed at training future workers for the high-tech industry.
