A Major Growth Corridor in Mississippi

The companies, local governments and educational institutions that make up the I59 Technology Corridor have two common characteristics –each one has an established or emerging interest in high technology commerce, and they are all neighbors along a 168-mile stretch of Interstate 59. Located near the center of the corridor, Howard Technology Park and Tech Park South, together known as the Jones County Technology Complex, are making a significant contribution toward the corridor's quest to become the “Silicon Valley of the South.”

If the plans of the park's first two occupants are any indication, the region could begin to experience the impact of that contribution in less than five years. Jones County Junior College's Advanced Technology Center is in place to provide critical training for that growing workforce, along with incubation services for developing businesses throughout the region.
