Jones County is located in the heart of the Gulf States – an arc of economic vitality and pleasant living that stretches from New Orleans to Miami. Within this region are several metropolitan centers that directly or indirectly affect the flow of commerce and activity in Jones County. Passengers and shippers have access to Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport (located less than fifteen minutes from Laurel along I-59 in southern Jones County) and national/international airports in Jackson, New Orleans and Gulfport, Mississippi.
